Our main performances for the 2026-2027 season include:

October 17, 2026 – Morning, Noon & Night

Choral music explores the moods for hours of the day and can range from classical cantatas to sacred hymns, including musical themes such as praise, nature and contemplation. Morning emotes a feeling of new beginnings and is reported to have the highest level of happiness. "Morning Has Broken" by Cat Stevens reflects on the praise and celebration of a new day. "This is the Day" by John Rutter shows being in the moment and seeking the good in our day. "Good Night, Dear Heart" by Dan Forrest represents the close of a day, a season or a life. Music provides the outlet to express many emotions, and the Irving Chorale will spend the time exploring the moods of morning, noon and night.

December 10, 2026 – 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (Irving Arts Center)

Essential to the holiday season is choral music. Be it traditional carols like "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night"; sing along tunes such as "Joy To The Word" and "Jingle Bells"; or fun-loving selections like 'Twas The Night Before Christmas" and "Nutcracker Jingle" to lighten your spirit. This is our holiday program for the season with plans to present it at the Irving Arts Center.

April 16, 2027 – “Requiem” by Taylor Scott Davis

As described by the composer, this piece is "a Requiem for our times". It’s about sitting together in grief and in hope without needing all the answers. This is a six-movement piece
discovering loss and is written in the tradition of Latin but done in English and modern vernacular. Irving Chorale hopes to collaborate with Lewisville Civic Chorale again on this new choral composition.
